Golf Course Report

90 Day Course Maintenance Plan

Course Super Report 12th August 2010

The course is slowly starting to dry out even with the 10mm rain on Tuesday,
the fairways are looking better after the application of Iron and as a result they
are starting to stripe up after mowing. Also this week we installed the treated
pine edging on 2 more bridges which will be an ongoing thing to get around the entire course.

Last Friday we trialled a new electric greens roller which was very successful,  being electric it
makes virtually no noise and has a similar battery set up to a golf cart hence allowing us to
roll greens early mornings prior to competitions including Saturdays.
The club will purchase one of these rollers in early October.

Next week plans include completing the major service of the irrigation system,
spraying out the clumps of Parramatta grass throughout the course and mulching the gardens.

Course Super Report 9th July 2010

The 11th green is now finished with exception of the pathways which we are currently obtaining quotes for and will be installed in August
The rest of the course is obviously very wet we are still Verti-draining all the fairways which is assisting in keeping the course dry.
The new   (front = Light blue) – (middle= White) – (back = Yellow) flag system will be in use this Saturday so be sure to read the signs on the 1st and 12th tees which will explain the positioning.
The members may have also noticed the loss of colour in all the fairways, this is due to the heavy frost we received last week . To combat this we are applying Iron which will have an instant greening effect.
Weather pending we are hoping to start re-sanding the bunkers next week along with installing some guide rails on the bridges where required.
